New Sally Hansens - Xtreme Wear Edition
I picked up four of the new Xtreme Wears by Sally Hansen. I assume that these are limited edition for spring, but it's possible that they might be added the the permanent collection. I found them at Walgreens in the "new stuff" section in the beauty department.
Going Green (4860-34) is a green that tends more to the yellow side than the blue. It has a lighter green pearl finish. The Real Teal (4860-39) is kind of a greened turquoise with greener pearl. Both were still ever so slightly sheer with two coats, so I recommend three coats unless you're doing super thick coats. Wet Cement (4860-37) is a warmer gray crème that has a little more yellow than usual in its mix. I don't know if I'd go as far as saying it's warm-toned, though. Two coats was just fine to make it opaque. Purple Pizzazz (4860-40) is a jelly purple with small magenta glitter. Since it is sheer, I would recommend putting it over another color. You could make it opaque with thick coats, though. I did a thin coat and a thick coat, which got me pretty good opacity.
Purple Pizzazz is even more purple in real life, I promise. My camera is making it look a little too blue in the picture.
Out of these four, Wet Cement might be a must-have if you really love grays. Otherwise, I think they're all passable unless you really dig the colors. ![]()
