Urban Outfitters polish
I thought I'd give you guys a break after all that Alice posting. But I'm back with some more bottle pictures! I nabbed these Urban Outfitters polishes for US$3.50 each right before Christmas. They may be back up to $4-5 now- I'm not sure.
These first three colors are obviously flakies- Sparkle White 2, Sparkle Blue 5 and Sparkle Purple 4.
Sparkle White's base looks white, but is way more clear than white. The flakies look to be a transparent blue and green. Sparkle Blue has a blue base with what appears to be blue, green and silver flakes. Sparkle Purple has a purple base with possibly silver (which look purple because of the pigmented base) and red flakies.
There were also green, red and maybe even yellow flakies for sale. I didn't like the contrasting colors in them, so I left them at UO for someone else to purchase and enjoy.
The base colors of blue and purple flakies look like they are pretty pigmented, which was another reason I opted for them.
This next pictures does these two- Matte Green 7 (in the frosted bottle) and Green 9- no justice. They're definitely darker than this full sun picture, but I couldn't adjust the image in Photoshop without ruining it. Matte Green 7 is like a baby blue with mint green toothpaste-y color. Green 9 is a lovely, vibrant turquoise blue with green crème, definitely more blue than green. While Matte Green 7 kind of resembles the color you see below, Green 9 looks nothing like the color below!! This is a bit more accurate a picture for Matte Green 7.
The caps on the bottles feel like rubber, so if you have a latex allergy, proceed carefully. I'm almost positive that the square rubbery cap comes off, leaving you with a plastic rounded nub you use to control the brush while polishing. But I'll be darned if I can get the caps to come off right now.
Alright, back to cleaning for me. Gotta hide all this nail polish before my mother-in-law comes over and thinks I'm nuts!
