MAC's Spring Colour Forecast multi-collection

Last week, MAC released the Spring Colour Forecast collection, which centered on four different colors.  Spring Colour Forecast 1 concentrates on pink tones, Spring Colour Forecast 2 is coral, Spring Colour Forecast 3 is plum and Spring Colour Forecast 4 is amber.  I swatched all four of the nail polishes from this collection, and was unimpressed to depressed with all of them.  The pink nail polish is Galore Pink, described by MAC as "Creamy mid-tone blue pink (Cream.)"  The coral nail polish is Malibu Peach, described as "Bright creamy tangerine (Cream.)"  The plum color is Imperial Splendour, described as "Deep creamy violet (Cream.)"  The amber color isn't really amber-colored; Abalone Shell is described by MAC as "Light creamy warm beige (Cream.)"  As far as I could tell, all four colors were indeed crèmes.

I did three coats with each polish, with varying degrees of success. Imperial Splendour is on my thumb.  It's a gorgeous dark plum that would be much improved if the formula was better.  The application of this polish stunk- the brush dragged (look at the bottom of my thumbnail) and the polish itself was streaky.  I really wish I knew a dupe for this- if you can tell me what might be close, I'd appreciate it! :)  This polish depressingly crummy. Abalone Shell is on my index finger.  I'd call it a warm-toned beige, a modified BABB.  BABB usually refers to a "Band-aid but better" color, but in this case, I'll use it as "Band-aid but browner." This color was less streaky than the purple and pink from this collection, and I'd call it even at three coats.  It was still sheer though, and if you squint you might be able to see my nail tips.  On my middle finger, Galore Pink is streaky, uneven, and unremarkable.  I'd call it a medium dark pink with a healthy dose of blue.  I'm pretty sure there's a good dupe of this color in either OPI's Spain collection or their India collection.  I'm also not a lover of the color pink, so take that avice with a grain of salt. Malibu Peach is on my ring finger, and I'd describe it as a dark medium orange.  Though you can see my nail tip at three coats of polish, it's also even at three coats.

I also purchased Hush, Hush Rose lipglass ("Mid-tone blue pink with pearl (Frost)") from the pink section and two eye shadows from the coral section. Straw Harvest is described by MAC as "Frosty light yellow orange (Veluxe Pearl)" and Hot Hot Hot, described as "Mid tone coral (Satin.)" Hush, Hush Rose looks to me to be a dark hot pink with tons of multicolored shimmer.  I wouldn't call it frosty, but it is very shimmery.  The color does fade; after about three hours, a bit of tint and a good amount of shimmer remained. Hot Hot Hot does apply like a Satin- not as easy as a Veluxe Pearl like Straw Harvest- but I still got a nice amount of color with a sponge-tip applicator.  I'd describe the color as a lighter red verging towards orange.  It does have a yellow and red sparkle, which was a nice surprise. Straw Harvest looks to me like a mix of gold and beige, or a wheat gold with a little bit of yellow added.  This eye shadow has a very nice sheen!

In the pictures below, I swatched Straw Harvest and Hot Hot Hot eye shadow with a sponge-tip applicator.  I also applied Hush, Hush Rose, and then another swatch of it sheered out.  I don't plan on wearing the eye shadow and lipglass together, in case you were thinking of warning me.  I know the shadows are more warm while the gloss is way cool! ;D

I will break down and do my follow-up OPI Pink Me, I'm Good post, but here's a hint:  I HATE IT. XX(
