Sephora by OPI's Spring 2010 collection

Sephora by OPI's Spring 2010 Modern Flowers collection is full of delicate, garden-inspired shades.  I know that sounds a little ad-like, but this collection does strike me as spring-y; this collex has both the green leaves and the pink, purple and orange flowers from a garden.

I pretty much used two coats on all of these swatches, but you may need to use more in a real manicure or pedicure.  Iris I Was Thinner is described as "medium iris purple," and I'd agree with that.  It's a crème purple that's a little more red than blue.  Handpicked For Me is described as "light pink lilac with silver shimmer," and again, that's a pretty good description.  I myself would say that it's a "fun multi-colored sparkley slightly warm pink with a touch of lavender that's frosty but not brushstroke-y."  It's Bouquet With Me is described as "sheer violet with silver and holographic glitter," and that I definitely don't agree with.  I'd say it was 60% magenta and 40% multi-colored glitter- no holo to be seen.  I think you could make this one opaque with three or four coats, but I would suggest using it as a topcoat over Iris or HandpickedLeaf Him At The Altar is described as "metallic vine green," which is a good description.  I think it's a lighter medium green with a bit more golden yellow than blue.  It's slightly frosty, so while my swatch isn't brushstroke-y, a whole manicure might yield some brushstrokes.  I think this is a very wearable green for a variety of skintones.  It looks like Leaf has a spot in the regular SOPI display, so it's not limited edition.  Go With The Flow-er is described as "bright tulip pink with hot pink shimmer."  I think it's a sparkley dark pink jelly with tons of tiny dark hot pink shimmer.  I suspect this polish might take several coats to be opaque, but it really is very pretty.  I suggest layering it over Cover Me In Petals, any pinks in your collection, or over the whole nail with a hot pink Funky French tip.  I feel like this polish might be dupey to one of the older OPI Ulta exclusives for Valentine's Day, but I didn't have a chance to compare them with Flow-er.  Cover Me In Petals is a "vivid tigerlily red orange," but I feel like it's almost on the verge of being a coral.  It's definitely a vibrant yet darker orange crème, but there's a hint of pink in there.  This one might need three coats to be opaque.

On my pinkie, I'm wearing OPI's Pink Me I'm Good, which you can still enter to win a bottle of... ahem.

My favorites out of this collection are Go With The Flow-er, Leaf Him At The Altar, and, oddly, Handpicked For Me.  You can purchase full-sized bottles, as well as a mini set with four of the colors that contains Handpicked For Me, It's Bouquet With Me, Iris I Was Thinner, and Leaf Him At The Altar.
