Hi Kate! You're very welcome, and thank YOU for letting me know what you'd like to see more of. :-) I will work on the whole hand manicures of BBF and Petal Pink for you this week. :-) I've been testing the latter over different basecoats today, and I find that I like it better over a more matte basecoat. The CND ridgefiller I've been using dries to a satin-y finish, but I prefer the slightly more matte Essie ridgefiller and NailTek Foundation II ridgefiller.

You had mentioned Walk Down the Aisle and Marshmallow regarding tip colors. I took at look at Marshmallow in the bottle, and I think Walk Down the Aisle is a bit more natural, subdued and offwhite. If you're looking for a "cleaner" white that's not stark, then I suggest taking a look at Waltz. It's described as a sheer white on Essie's website, while Marshmallow is a "cloudy sheer white." I think Blanc would be good if you were looking for a very stark white, though I tried it over my whole nail and it was pretty streaky (and very white.) I will say that I noticed the pinkness of Petal Pink over Waltz more than I did over Walk Down the Aisle, but you could always apply the tip color after the base nail color to avoid that. :-)

Wow, Thank you so much for going to so much effort to contrast and compare the different essie nail polishes both with photos and your own analysis. It's very helpful (and generous!).

By looking at your swatches and commentary I think I'll buy Petal Pink, another bottle of mademoiselle (I'm not surprised you mentioned the color discrepencies between batches-mine which is almost finished is slightly darker & pinker) and BBF which I'm surprised looks so similar to Not just a pretty face and looks very pretty. As you can probably tell, I love Essie sheers!

I am going to have to try swatching again, since there was very little sunlight today. :-( But I think I am going to do more sheer swatches, if only to figure out for myself which colors I can get rid of! :-P

I love sheer pinks. I would adore seeing pictures of all this and comparisons would be awesome. <3
